Starting a new business, or innovating within an existing one, is grueling work, especially if the goal is to offer a product or service that makes the world a better place!

After leaving the classroom in 2012 to create a social enterprise, Giving Families, I went through years of trial and error, always kept the end-user in mind, to develop the most impactful and meaningful program possible.

In this presentation, I’ll share my experiences transitioning from the classroom to the boardroom, emphasizing the importance of strong observational skills, but more importantly, the need to embrace the ever-dreaded pivot.
